Come Visit Us

The best way to reconnect with your roots is to put your feet in the ground.

We love receiving visitors! If you are thinking about planning a trip, please reach out to us here, or to Mamerto, and we will host you if we are home. Be prepared for a primitive space (we collect and transport water manually and cook outside on a wood fire), and please know that we live in a very communal space and we really appreciate pitching in with buying food, cooking, and cleaning. We will provide native rice grown in our fields, and we will put you to work if you are willing and able!

Please give us as much notice as possible if you would like to visit. We all travel frequently, so it is best to make plans ahead of time. We are excited to host you and spend time with you, but please also keep in mind that we are very busy with farm work and all the projects we have going on, and you are more than welcome to accompany us as we work. If you would like a full immersive experience that has more intentional community and learning time, consider attending one of our events, where we purposefully create time for connection and sharing.

We’re very happy to share with and teach anyone who comes to us. Please keep in mind that the knowledge, stories and experiences that are gifted to us by our elders are priceless, and must be respected. We want you to learn and keep sharing with others, but please do so in a humble way. If you are re-gifting the knowledge to others, please give credit to your teachers and help support our elders when you can.
